Russian Army Is in Donbas to Monitor Cease-Fire - DPR Terrorist’s Leader

The self-proclaimed DPR Vice-Prime Minister Andrei Purgin said that there are Russian servicemen in Donetsk, whose mission is to ensure the terms of the armistice.

According to him, the Russian military also act as negotiators, Censor.NET reports citing BBC Ukraine.

However, the OSCE, which is charged with such a function, does not confirm this information. "Parties to a conflict cannot communicate without an intermediary, so please take them (the Russian military - Ed.) in this role, they do not take any of the conflict side," Andrey Purgin said to BBC.

The Russian Foreign Ministry did not comment Purgin's words. Moscow denies that there are Russian military in Ukraine.
