As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the Joint forces operation (JFO) headquarters press center as of June 3, 2018, the most active hostilities were recorded on the outskirts of Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Hnutove, and Lebedynske.
"The Russian-occupation forces mounted 27 attacks including four strikes with heavy weapons such as 122-mm cannons, 120- and 82-mm mortars. The JFO units maintained active defense and responded adequately to the enemy attacks along the whole length of the contact line," the statement reads.
The invaders also continue to violate the norms of the International Humanitarian Law: "They bombarded Talakivka with 152 mm guns around 9 p.m. yesterday. Luckily, no one was hurt as at least three terrorists’ shells hit the village. Information on damage they have caused is being gathered.
It is reported that Ukrainian troops suffered no combat losses over the past day. Intelligence sources indicate that one invader was eliminated in back fire.
"The situation along the contact line remained unchanged today, June 4. The enemy bombarded the outskirts of Zaitseve village with 82-mm mortars around 4:30 a.m. today. The mortar strike was adequately retaliated against," the situation report says.
