Lustration Will Be Fulfilled in Four Stages – Starting with Cabinet, National Bank, Central Election Commission, Governors and State Guard Administration

The purge of government officials will begin in November 2014 and will last until the end of 2016.

Prime Minister Yatsenyuk said this, Censor.NET reports citing LIGABusinessInform.

According to the disqualification plan adopted by the government the probes will begin in November 2014.

The investigation will concern the prime minister, first deputy prime ministers, deputy prime ministers, ministers, heads of central bodies of executive power, heads of the National Bank, Central Election Commission, members of the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, heads of the Foreign Intelligence Service, State Guard Administration, all the governors, the leadership of the State Management of Affairs, the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Commissioner for anti-corruption policy, members of all National Commissions.

"The second stage will have an effect upon the Minister of Justice and his deputies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Fiscal Service, Security Service, judicial administration and its subsidiaries, the General Prosecutor and his deputies as well as General Prosecutor's Office public servants," the Prime Minister said.

The period of the first two purges will be from November 2014 to January-February 2015.

"In general, the procedure is pretty cumbersome and complicated and it is done for the first time in Ukraine, but we will try to speed up the check both of the autobiographical data and information about the property and capital," Yatsenyuk said.

The third stage of purges will affect the judiciary. The checks will last from December 2014 to December 2015.

Yatsenyuk considers the Defense Ministry and the General Staff must go through lustration in the first stage of checks.
