As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 25, Russian mercenaries mounted 17 attacks on the government forces using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements in four cases.
The Russian occupying troops employed grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the defenders of Zolote, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Avdiivka, Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
"The invaders fired upon the Joint Forces’ stronghold in the vicinity of Svitlodarsk with armament of infantry fighting vehicles and 120-mm mortars. The enemy also barraged the same stronghold and the ones near Luhanske and Avdiivka with 82-mm mortar shells.
"Besides, the Joint Forces’ stronghold in the vicinity of Avdiivka came under four enemy attacks: "Since the morning, the enemy has been using grenade launchers and small arms to which they later added 82-mm mortars. The defenders control the situation in the area and ready to respond to any drastic change.
"The Russian invaders also repeatedly and cynically attacked the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds not far from Pavlopil and Shyrokyne at the Mariupol section of the forefront: "All enemy attacks were resolutely suppressed including through preemptive measures," the report reads."
The intelligence sources indicate a Russian mercenary eliminated and five more wounded yesterday.
"A Joint Forces fighter received a combat injury on Oct. 25," the press service added.
No hostilities has been recorded in the Donbas on Oct. 26.
