"According to the father of detained Diliaver Gafarov, the search was carried out by FSB (Russian Federal Security Service – ed.) officers around 3 a.m. The law enforcement officers said they were looking for firearms but not a single piece was put on the list of seized items since they had found none. They seized cell-phones, IDs, Ukrainian and Russian passports. Two women the law enforcers brought from Feodosia witnessed the search," the statement reads.
The police reportedly took Gafarov to a Simferopol-based detention center which his relatives subsequently left for as well.
"The law enforcers showed no search warrant or other relevant papers," Crimean Solidarity said.
