Dollar and Euro Hit New Record Highs Against Ruble

On Wednesday the dollar gained 62 kopecks for the first time exceeding the threshold of 43 rubles (43.09) on the Moscow Exchange.

The Russian currency continued its decline for the sixth consecutive day. The euro rose by 36 kopecks to 54.4 rubles, Censor.NET reports citing DW.

According to experts, it is the consequence of oil prices drop and fears of a possible shortage of foreign currency liquidity.
