As reported by a correspondent for Censor.NET, he said delivering speech in the Verkhovna Rada regarding the pace of the probe into Handziuk’s murder.
"In order to put beyond doubt that no one is holding down a job, I’m going to submit the letter of resignation to the president of Ukraine today. And you should consider this issue in parliament. I ask you to do it this week. I have been doing my job and will continue doing it. Everything that I promised Kateryna Handziuk in the hospital shall be fulfilled," he said.
"However, I cannot accept duality of power in the country which destroys the law enforcement system without proof even for the crimes that have been solved ... I filed my resignation and it’s up to you whether Mustafa Nayyem will be naming individuals or law enforcement agencies culpable of this from the TV screens."
He also said that Handziuk’s murder case would be referred to court by the end of 2018.
