People’s Front, Poroshenko Bloc, and Samopomich Agreed on Coalition Principles – Media

The first meeting of People’s Front, Poroshenko Bloc, and Samopomich working group to create a coalition took place in Kyiv today.

The parties reached agreement on key positions as a result of the meeting, Censor.NET reports citing lb.ua.

Bloc of Petro Poroshenko was represented by Yurii Lutsenko, Volodymyr Hroisman and Vitalii Kovalchuk; Viacheslav Kyrylenko, Serhii Pashynskyi and Pavlo Pinzenyk participated in the negotiations from the People's Front; Oksana Syroiid, Oleh Lavrik and Oleh Bereziuk attended the meeting from Samopomich.

The representatives of the three political forces discussed the rules and principles of the government coalition formation. All parties agreed that a quota-based principle of the government forming is unacceptable. In addition, the deputies decided to avoid future party affiliation "bundles" between minister and his deputies. Samopomich representatives declared the impossibility of unconstitutional controlling body creation while speaking on the coalition procedure, rules and regulations. Earlier, Poroshenko Bloc representatives stated on the possible creation of a supervising agency, which would take measures against members of the coalition in case of the agreement regulations' breach.

The participants announced reaching of the consensus on key positions and agreed to continue consultations Monday. It is expected that the final agreement will be concluded at the political forces' second meeting scheduled for Nov. 3. Earlier Censor.NET reported Anton Herashchenko offering not to take the MPs, who voted for the "dictatorial laws" into a coalition: "They are free to join the Opposition bloc".
