The martial law that was introduced in a number of regions of Ukraine a month ago expires at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 26.

As reported by Censor.NET, the martial law was introduced in several regions of Ukraine bordering with the Russian Federation and breakaway Transnistria under the presidential decree approved by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Nov. 26 for a 30-day period expiring at 2 p.m. on Dec. 26.

On Nov. 26, the UN Security Council held an emergency meeting on the Kerch Strait incident.

Later on the same day, Ukraine's parliament gave the green light to a presidential decree on the introduction of martial law for 30 days in 10 regions of Ukraine – Vinnytsia region, Luhansk region, Mykolaiv region, Odesa region, Sumy region, Kharkiv region, Chernihiv region, Kherson region, Donetsk region and Zaporizhia region, as well as the inland waters of the Azov-Kerch water area.
