The court took the corresponding decision on Feb. 7 upon the investigator’s motion.
Feb. 1, the prosecutor filed an appeal against the decision of the very same court, which at the end of January canceled the arrest imposed on 26 Zakharchenko’s real estate items within the illegal enrichment and money laundering case. PGO noted that the court has not yet heard an appeal.
April 2018, the court ruled to open a special pre-trial investigation in relation to former Interior Minister Vitalii Zakharchenko.
Zakharchenko is suspected of being involved in arranging attempted assassinations of protesters in the center of Kyiv on Feb. 18-20, 2014.
As reported earlier, Jan. 30, 2019, Kyiv Pechersk District Court cancelled the arrest of the property of former Interior Minister Vitalii Zakharchenko.
