Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is waiting for Volodymyr Zelenskyi to debate at the Olimpiiskyi Stadium in Kyiv on April 14.

Censor.NET reports citing Poroshenko's post on Facebook.

"I want to emphasize that on April 14, next Sunday, at the Olimpiiskyi Stadium, exactly where Zelenskyi proposed, I'm waiting for him to hold a debate," he said.

He added that 19:00 or 20:00 would be the best time.

Poroshenko invited the audience and all television channels for the debate to be held.

On April 7, the Central Election Commission announced the official results of the first round of presidential elections and set the run-off vote for April 21. Showman Volodymyr Zelenskyi and incumbent head of state Petro Poroshenko made it through to the run-off.

As earlier reported, according to the official voting results, Volodymyr Zelenskyi got 30.24% of the vote, Petro Poroshenko – 15.95%. On April 3, Zelenskyi invited Poroshenko to a debate before the second round of presidential elections. Zelenskyi stressed that the debate should take place at the Olimpiiskyi stadium in Kyiv, in the presence of all interested journalists and television channels.

Poroshenko, in his video address, reminded that according to the rules of the debate stipulated in the law on presidential elections, it can be held on public television and broadcast on all television channels. "But if it's the stadium, let it be the stadium. I'm waiting for you, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych," Poroshenko said.
