Putin Will ‘Gnaw’ Europe in Various Ways to Bring Chaos and Disorient it - Former US Secretary of State

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a good tactician but a bad strategist.

Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright expressed this opinion during the speech at the National Endowment for Democracy, Censor.NET informs citing Voice of America.

According to her, the actions of the Russian president had a directly opposite effect to what he had expected.

"By his actions he united Europe, instead of splitting it," Albright emphasizes.

Former State Secretary also shared her vision of the Russian president's future tactical steps.

"He certainly will not break into Europe with a large army. He will 'gnaw' Europe in various ways to bring chaos and disorient it," Albright said.

At the same time she stressed that the expectations that Europe will become part of the solution but not the problem itself were deceived.

Albright also said that efforts of the United States in this direction have not become extremely successful, in particular, due to the fact that the promotion of democracy has become associated with its militarized aspect.

Earlier, the former U.S. Secretary of State said that the Russian president is living in a parallel universe.
