Yatseniuk: New Majority in Verkhovna Rada Has 300 Votes

The new majority in Parliament has 300 votes.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yatseniuk reported today before the coalition agreement initialing, Censor.NET informs citing LIGA.

"People grunted the pro-European, pro-Ukrainian forces constitutional mandate for the first time in the history of the Ukrainian independence. There are 300 votes in the new Ukrainian majority today which are suffice for the implementation of this Coalition Agreement and all its provisions, primarily the Association Agreement and the free trade zone with the EU," he said.

Yatseniuk noted that the government agenda is already being created on the basis of the Coalition Agreement. "Once again I would like to publicly appeal to all allies of the coalition: we urgently need to form the government. The government consists of certain people who will have to implement the agreement, who must perform the agenda, implement actual changes, and take responsibility. Therefore, there is a request to hasten the process of delegating your representatives to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," Yatsenyuk added.

He stressed that not the political quotas are meant but the political responsibility of the Parliament, the government and the president.
