State Fiscal Service Head Nasirov wants resignation of his deputy who accused him of corruption

State Fiscal Service Head Roman Nasirov has submitted a proposal to the government and the Ministry of Finance to dismiss his deputy Kostiantyn Likarchuk through allegations of corruption, who had previously spoken of Nasirov as involved in corruption himself.

As reported by Censor.NET referring to Ukrinform, he announced this at a briefing.

"I have already submitted materials concerning his (Likarchuk - ed.) corrupt practices, in my opinion, to law enforcement bodies, as well as proposals to the Finance Ministry and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding his discharge," Nasirov said.

As reported, Sept. 2, Likarchuk accused his boss of corruption, noting that all appointments in Ukraine's customs service are still managed by Nasirov's adviser Hennadii Romanenko, who headed Kyiv Inter-regional Customs during the rule of Yanukovych and is a compadre of ex-head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Ihor Kaletnik.

According to Likarchuk, Romanenko is a "freelance adviser to Nasirov, entitled by him with informal powers regarding customs management, including personnel issues, and other, say, organizational issues."
