Donetsk Governor Zhebrivskyy elaborated on disrupted elections in Krasnoarmiisk
Elections in Krasnoarmiisk and Mariupol could be held in one.
This was stated by head of the Donetsk regional state administration Pavlo Zhebrivskyy, Censor.NET informs citing authority's press service.
"The situation can be called tragicomic. Firstly, the composition of the territorial election commission changed three times. Out of 12 parties indicated in ballots, 10 were printed with mistakes. At the last moment, the commission decided to reprint the ballots, ordering them from an individual entrepreneur who was not even able to make a cliché. They just scanned them," the governor said.
According to him, these violations were enough for one of the candidates to the city council to take legal action.
"The law clearly stipulates that the printing of election documents may be done only by a printing company. Today at 4 a.m., I was informed that the administrative court had ruled to veto the use of the printed ballots and annul the commission's decision," Zhebrivskyy said.
He said that the situation around setting the next date of the voting in Krasnoarmiisk is similar to that in Mariupol. "I am sure the elections in these cities will take place in one day. Citizens have the right to elect their authorities," the governor resumed.
