Lifting of sanctions against Russia depends on Minsk deal implementation, Kerry says

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry reminded Russian President Vladimir Putin that Western sanctions imposed on Russia over the Ukraine conflict will be lifted as soon as the Minsk agreements are fully implemented.

According to John Kerry, the U.S. authorities expect that the sooner Minsk agreements are implemented, the sooner the U.S. and EU sanctions will be lifted.

U.S. Secretary of State said that the parties had agreed at a meeting in Moscow on the need to continue two-way process (Karasin-Nuland channel of communication) between the U.S. and the Russian Federation on Ukraine agreed by the presidents several months ago.
