Ukraine increased gas transit by almost eight percent in 2015

Ukraine has increased the transit of natural gas to Europe and Moldova by 7.9 percent (4.8845 billion cubic meters) up to 67.0815 billion cubic meters in 2015 compared with 2014.

According to Ukrtranshaz PJSC, 64.161 billion cubic meters of gas were delivered in Europe as well as 2.9205 billion cubic meters in Moldova through the territory of Ukraine in 2015, Censor.NET reports citing ZN.UA.

Summarizing the results of Dec. 2015, the transit of gas to Europe and Moldova has increased by 57.4 percent (by 2.4655 billion cubic meters) compared with Dec. 2014 - up to 6.7623 billion cubic meters which includes the transit of 6.4153 billion cubic meters of gas through Ukraine to Europe and 347 million cubic meters to Moldova

It should be reminded that the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities of Ukraine has raised gas transit tariffs Dec. 29.
