IMF ready to cooperate with new Cabinet

The International Monetary Fund is ready to continue cooperation with the new Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

This was stated by Director of the IMF's European Department Poul M. Thomsen at a news briefing on Friday at the annual "Spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank" which are taking place during April 12-17, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

The IMF is ready to continue to support Ukraine and looks forward to meeting with the new government, Thomsen said.

In addition, he announced IMF's readiness to complete the second review of the program of cooperation with Ukraine if the Cabinet of Ministers agrees to follow its requirements.

As previously noted, the IMF said in March it ruled out the termination of cooperation with Ukraine over the delay in its next tranche.

At that time, the fund reminded of the need to address the situation with the Ukrainian government and parliamentary coalition for the completion of the second review of the program and the allocation of the next tranche.
