Ukraine to be granted visa-free travel to EU before Nov. 24, - Poroshenko
President Petro Poroshenko has expressed confidence that the European Union will grant Ukraine a visa-free regime not later than Nov. 24, 2016.
He announced it to journalists, Censor.NET
"I am convinced that the documents on granting Ukraine a visa-free regime will be properly signed and ratified by the European Parliament, there is no doubt. I can even say before which date - Nov. 24," he noted.
According to Poroshenko, the issue of granting Ukraine a visa-free regime has been delayed because of a dispute between the European Parliament and the European Commission over the powers to suspend visa-free travel for any country.
Poroshenko also expressed hope that these structures will manage to reach a compromise and find a solution, and Ukraine will obtain visa-free travel to EU before Nov. 24, the day when the EU-Ukraine summit starts in Brussels.
