"No one is going to make backroom deals with Russia," – Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Klimkin

Ukraine and Russia have reached no additional secret arrangements under the Minsk agreements aimed at resolving situation in the Donbas.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin in an interview to Interfax-Ukraine.

"We hear this myth about Minsk [deal] from time to time when some secret agreements are meant. This threatens to create a distorted reality," the official said.

"Firstly, no one is going to make backroom deals with Russia. How can it be possible anyway if there is no trust in each other? And I do not believe that this trust may appear in the near future," he said.

"The second question is how would we observe these agreements? This would play against us, weaken our positions," the foreign minister said.

"It is not just a dig at us but the one at our partners as well. It appears that they are also accused of being a party to these secret arrangements," the official stressed.
