Russian militants opened fire upon Ukrainian positions 61 times yesterday, employed 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, - Staff

The enemy continues shelling the positions of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces in all directions.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO Staff's press center in a report as of Jan. 17, 2017.

According to the Staff, Russian militants employed 82 mm mortars upon Chermalyk, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne. They fired grenade launchers and small arms upon Lebedynske, Talakivka, Krasnohorivka, Vodiane, Shyrokyne and Hnutove, employed IFV weapon upon Berezove. In addition, a sniper operated in Shyrokyne area.

In Luhansk direction, occupants used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars to shell Troitske and Novooleksandrivka. Grenade launchers and small arms were employed in Valuiske, Stanytsia Luhanska, and Popasna. A sniper was active in Valuiske as well.

In Donetsk direction, Russian occupation troops fired grenade launchers and small arms upon Avdiivka, Opytne, and Pisky.

"A total of 61 cases of fire were recorded over the past 24-hour period. No losses among our military have been incurred," the report reads.
