Financial Crime Investigation Service to replace tax police in 2017, - PM Hroisman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman confirmed the government’s intention to establish the Financial Crime Investigation Service as early as this year.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, he said at a workshop dedicated to the regional investment and export potential development.

"I think that we will establish the Financial Crime Investigation Service this year. We will remove the financial monitoring authority from the tax police, which will be dissolved, from the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Financial Crime Investigation Directorate of the Interior Ministry's National Police. The willingness of the minister of internal affairs to transfer this responsibility is a good sign for us to establish efficient state financial monitoring agency rather than a system of indiscriminate pressure," the head of the government said.
