Ukraine’s army willing to observe peace deals, will tolerate no attacks on its positions, soldiers, - Minister Poltorak

The Ukrainian side is ready to fulfill the Minsk agreements and observe the cease-fire in the Donbas, but it will adequately respond in case of threat to servicemen’s lives or attempts to seize new territories.

As reported by Censor.NET referring to Interfax-Ukraine, Ukraine's Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said Thursday.

"We are willing to fulfill the agreements. However, we will not remain silent in case of threat to our positions or the life of the military, but take measures to prevent seizure of our territories or fatalities among our military," he said at a joint briefing with Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria in Kyiv.

As reported, the Russian-backed militants committed 83 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation zone over the past 24-hour period.
