The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the Meseberg castle (Gransee, Brandenburg land), Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
After the talks, the leaders of Ukraine and Germany are expected to make statements for the media.
The day before, Poroshenko said that he would discuss with Merkel the situation in the Donbas, as well as the implementation of the Minsk agreements. In particular, the leaders are going to discuss the security, the release of hostages, the humanitarian situation and other issues.
Earlier, Poroshenko said that he intends to hold consultations with the leaders of the G-7 to coordinate actions due to the situation in the Donbas.
