"Next week I will ask my colleagues - What does Rossotrudnichestvo [Russian center for science and culture - ed.] and its affiliate organizations do here, in Ukraine? Why do we have Russian organizations here, why can't we just close them down by law or other decisions? This is a question for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, by the way," Chubarov told a press conference on Wednesday in Kyiv.

He said Mejlis will announce new initiatives and will ask the government to support them.

"If we do not find [the support of the government - ed.], we will ask for it from politicians. Rossotrudnichestvo of Russia should be closed in Ukraine. Are there people who do not understand that? Any Russian state agency operating in Ukraine does not have the right to do so. Isn't it clear?" Chubarov wrote.
