SBU and Armed Forces of Ukraine Detained DPR Reconnaissance Group During Battle. One Saboteur Eliminated. PHOTO

The Security Service of Ukraine Counterintelligence in cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine detained saboteurs who attacked one of the Ukrainian military checkpoints in the Donetsk region.

Censor.NET reports citing the SBU press service.

According to the report, it was established that the group has been ordered to conduct reconnaissance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine checkpoints in the Telmanove district of the Donetsk region and carry out the adjustment of the terrorists' artillery fire. In addition, the group was ordered to capture a Ukrainian serviceman in order to get the identification markings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine uniforms (chevrons, emblems, shoulder straps).

"The sabotage and reconnaissance group of the 1st Sloviansk Brigade of the so-called DPR consisted of two citizens of Ukraine. One of them had the ID of the 'scout-spotter of the DPR Ministry of Defense military base #08801'. The group also consisted of two citizens of the Russian Federation - residents of Voronezh and Lipetsk," the report reads.

"Three militants received injuries of varying severity during the battle with the servicemen and have been detained. One Russian mercenary was killed," the SBU added.
