Commander of the 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade’s Platoon Serhii Khodorovskyi died of shrapnel wounds he received at Avdiivka’ industrial zone yesterday, Nov. 17.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the Brigade's Command.

"Our comrade-in-arms, Platoon Commander Serhii Khodorovskyi, was killed by shrapnel at Avdiivka' industrial zone yesterday, Nov. 17. He was 36 years old. He joined the army in 1998 to become a professional soldier. Serhii carried out missions in Iraq. He also was one of the servicemen who managed to break through from the Ilovaisk entrapment in the summer of 2014. He was serving in the 72nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade from the spring of 2015. Unfortunately, the war indiscriminately took this brave fighter, experienced commander, and a reliable comrade," the statement reads.

Serhii's companions-in-arms have raised some money to support his family at this difficult time.
